If you were in Aldershot town centre this past Sunday, you may have noticed some strange goings on involving babies, footballers, racers and pixies.
On Behalf of the British Lung Foundation, the annual Charity Pram Race aimed to raise as much money for the charity whilst simultaneously making everyone look a bit silly.
Always up for the challenge, Charters Citroen joined with the Three Amigos pushing a baby (Sales Executive – Connor) around Aldershot town centre. The Pram Race event was organised by the Crimea Inn (our neighbouring pub) and the goal was simple: teams made up of four people were to visit six pubs in the town centre, drink half a pint of ale at each, take a photo as proof and return as soon as they can.
Events may have become a little messy with everyone showing their competitive and ruthless side thanks to silly string, snappers, water guns and shenanigans but after the race was won by the Charters Citroen’s Three Amigos (not forgetting the baby), a great time had been had by all.
A special shout out goes to the Lightning Ladies who came within a whisker of winning and to all of those who took part for this amazing charity. The true winner was the British Lung Foundation who raised nearly £2000 from sponsorship and collections throughout the day.
