Citroen ConnectedCAM: who is it for?

With the introduction of the Citroen C3 and C5 Aircross SUV, we are taking a look at the features and functions of the new ConnectedCAM. Who is it for?

Details of the ConnectedCAM system

Citroen’s ConnectedCAM comes fitted as standard to the Flair Edition of the C3 and C5 Aircross or as an optional extra on the Feel trim level. It has a Full HD integrated camera with GPS and a spacious internal memory.

There are two buttons on the device (one for taking videos and one for taking photos) as well as a micro USB port for those drivers without a smartphone.

To operate the ConnectedCam manually you can use the onboard buttons to take a photo or short video clip. The results of which can be downloaded to your compatible smartphone (Android and iPhone compatible).

The ConnectedCAM Citroen app allows you to view and share your content directly online to your favourite social media or via email, Whatsapp or any other compatible app.

The ConnectedCAM is constantly on record (via a dashcam looping system). If your New C3 registers a crash then your clever new camera ensures a recording of the event is stored so you can submit this to the police or your current insurer . Thanks to the helpful GPS encoded data, the recipients can see (in detail) the occurrence itself. So many of us have lost out on our No Claims Discount thanks to accidents caused by other people. ConnectedCAM takes the worry out of driving.
