SERV Blood Bikers tackle the harshest weather with “Jan” – the Charters sponsored DS3 for the urgent deliveries of blood and blood products.

In the first week of March 2018, we experienced some of the harshest weather in the last several years and whilst many of us had been stopped in our tracks, there is one team that just kept going and we’d like to recognise their efforts through this difficult time.

The SERV Blood Bikers are a volunteer-based groupthat offers an essential service to aid hospitals and doctors. Throughout the year, their deliveries of: blood, blood products & medication help potentially thousands of individuals’ lives each year.

Throughout each and every night, seven days a week and 365 days a year, you’ll see a SERV Blood Biker delivering essential products / equipment.

But what if the weather is too harsh for motorcycles? That’s when “Jan” really comes into her own.

“Jan” is a DS3 supplied by Charters DS of Aldershot to ensure that the SERV team can continue their good work and with the recent challenging weather, we are even more proud to be a supporter of this humbling work.

Recently the SERV Blood Bikers put together this video to highlight the importance of Jan and it is a delight to know that she is serving the community well.
