What can I expect from the interior?
High comfort and style – as with all Citroens. Curved, flowing lines contrast with striking graphic touches throughout the interior. C5 Aircross offers the extremely comfortable sofa-inspired seating from the C4 Cactus and with a cabin bathed in light (thanks to a panoramic sunroof), it is an absolute pleasure to travel.Soft touch materials are used throughout the cabin (often unseen in today’s market) and a large choice of them is available to suit: from 3D woven mesh to Nappa leather, the C5 Aircross can be made exactly to your taste.
What are Progressive Hydraulic Cushions?
For nearly 100 years, Citroen have gone over and above in terms of comfort. The introduction of the DS brought a modern hydraulic system that even now, others have yet to beat. C5 Aircross introduces a new comfort system unlike anything else on the market. The Progressive Hydraulic Cushions offer a two-step function depending on input:
With slight compression and rebound, the springs and dampers control vertical movement together without applying the hydraulic stops. However, the presence of these stops increases the vehicle’s freedom of movement, creating a ‘magic carpet’ effect, as if the car were flying over bumps and dips in the road.
In the event of greater compression and rebound, the springs and dampers work together with the hydraulic compression or rebound stops, which gradually slow down the movement, thereby avoiding sudden jolts. Unlike a conventional mechanical stop, which absorbs and then partially restores energy, the hydraulic stops absorb and dissipate this energy. As a result, there is no rebound.
How loud is the cabin in the C5 Aircross?
You’ll be glad to hear that the you’ll be able to hear. Thanks to clever acoustic control, laminated double-glazed windows and an insulation layer, all wind and road noise is highly reduced. Thanks to the Air Quality System installed, the C5 Aircross actively purifies the air to protect the passengers from outside pollution
Can I connect my Smartphone to C5 Aircross?
Yes. In fact, Citroen ensure that nearly all smartphones can connect with the integration of Mirror Screen (such as Apple Carplay and Android Auto). You can not only play your music through the car stereo but also integrate your favourite speaking assistant such as Siri. All with a touch of a button.
Does the Citroen C5 Aircross have a camera?
The on-board camera system is fitted to help you on your journey. Be safe, don’t get caught out speeding and make parking a breeze.
Speed Sign Recognition and Recommendation (you no longer to have to worry about missing speed signs, the C5 Aircross constantly advises on the current speed limit)
Automatic Dimming Headlights
Active Safety Brake (brakes are applied automatically in an emergency situation)
Adaptive Cruise Control with stop function (C5 Aircross can come to a stop on the motorway whilst in cruise control)
Active Lane Departure Warning (C5 Aircross corrects the vehicles path when wandering over a line without indicating)
